Storyboarding - Mae Webb

  • Here are some pictures of us drawing our Storyboard today. We have finished drawing all of our shots and it has come to a total of 102 shots
  • However we feel that during filming we may need to either add some shots in or remove some if it is too long, we have purposely made sure we will have room when filming to remove shots if there is too many as we won't be sure of how long the shots will be until we properly film them.
  • We also think we may need to add in some establishing shots of our settings so the audience are aware of where our characters are.
  • We are yet to add all the timings to our shots and create an animatic showing these timings and a voiceover of details of the shots.

UPDATE - FIGURING OUT TIMINGS

  • We did the timings to each shot today and added them all up, it has come to 5 mins 20 seconds. Although this is over the 5 minute mark we feel would be able to remove certain shots to ensure we meet the criteria of the task, we also think that a lot of shots will be shorter than we have anticipated. We will also be including the credits of the film in the shots themselves instead of having them at the end to save time.

UPDATE 2 - CREATING THE ANIMATICS

  • We have managed to film and edit both of our animatics together, the first one is an animatic showing timings of each shot, we realised after filming that our film is about 30 seconds over 5 minutes however this gives us leeway to delete shots that we don't really need.
  • The second one is an animatic with a voiceover of each shot saying the details, what type of shot, angle, sound, costume etc.
