Problems we have encountered since editing- Charlotte Hudson

As we have finished our filming, we have started editing our film.  We have started by putting our shots together in a rough copy just by cutting where necessary but not putting on our sounds and fades etc and properly editing our graphic matches and all our other ideas.

However we have started coming across a few problems:

  • Phone signals interfering with our shots- as a result of many people not listening to the rules in the editing suite people receiving calls and texts whilst we have been converting all our footage onto the mac. So this has caused some issues as we are now trying to work out how to get over these problems

  • Another issue is sound, we have found that not all of our sound is clear enough so we are having to make more voice overs to place over the top of our shots. As a result of this we have found that films with majority speech is much harder than we originally thought
  • As well as these problems we have found that lighting is also becoming a problem, but we have decided that to use an effect of CCTV (like Mae explained in an earlier blog to try and over come this). We are also hoping to enhance some lighting to make it brighter when necessary
We are thinking of more and more ways to overcome these problems!
