- As part of our short film we wanted to show a flashback of Rebecca pouring wine on Louise's t-shirt while she is out of the room. We wanted to use this as a flashback to show the jealous and spiteful nature of Rebecca.
- Our first issue when filming this scene was our setting as the room we were using to film in was fairly small making it difficult to get the camera into a suitable and easy position. Once we had found our position we then needed to instruct or actors on how we wanted them to stand. Another thing was timing as we wanted to make the scene look as natural as possible and not 'put on'.
- To protect charlotte's bed from the wine we placed a black bin liner with a few sheets of paper towel on the bed. On top of this we then placed the shirt in a bowl to capture the wine that was going to seep through.
- We used our camera in a way that meant us as an audience believed that Rebecca was pouring the wine onto the shirt without us even seeing it on camera. Our next shot then reveals the stained shirt laying on the bed. Before doing this we had to dry it off a bit with a hair dryer so that it didn't stain the bed during this shot.
- Our only issues with filming this shot was the sound we received during it. We made a decision to create a foley to go over the top of this shot when we edit our short film to make it sound like its actually hitting material and not a harder, flat surface.
- A video of us making this foley will be uploaded to the blog soon.
